When I run “scanimage -L” under user “paulo”, this is the output: No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). If I run it under “root”, this is the output: device `hpaio:/usb/PSC_1500_series?serial=BR58R1R0D60498' is a Hewlett-Packard PSC_1500_series all-in-one I checked that “paulo” is a member of “scanner”, running “groups”: paulo adm dialout cdrom floppy sudo audio video plugdev staff scanner mldonkey I'm stumped.
