Hi Christoph, it seems that without more info (unless you are able to get some hardware to reproduce this to someone who wants to debug this, but you don't seem to live near Bonn, Germany ;) ), we would have difficulties to fix this bug.
Could you try to build a debug-enabled package and get a backtrace so outsiders can try to come up with a patch? Instructions are on the Debian wiki[1], searching the internet, I suspect you do have the requisite knowledge, but don't hesitate to ask if I can be of assistance.
