Well the bug appears in the RC bug list and as such it needs to be dealt with. Once the package with the conflicts is in testing, you can downgrade this bug and handle the rename later on. If you want to rename it for lenny, you'll have to hurry up. I'm not speaking on the behalf of the release team. Ask them if you want to know what's reasonable at this point.
