Package: ntop
Version: 3:3.3-9
Severity: serious
Justification: FTBFS on Sid powerpc

Hi,

During a rebuild of your package on Sid powerpc in a dirty build
environment, your package failed to build from source with the following
error:

  In file included from /usr/include/net-snmp/utilities.h:54,
                   from /usr/include/net-snmp/net-snmp-includes.h:74,
                   from iface.c:766:
  /usr/include/net-snmp/library/container.h: In function `CONTAINER_FREE':
/usr/include/net-snmp/library/container.h:427: error: lvalue required as left
operand of assignment

(The complete build log is attached to this E-mail.)

I'm not quite sure if this is caused by a bug in libsnmp-dev. I was not
able to reproduce it in a quick test outside the ntop sources, so, I
guess, we have to at least partially blame ntop.

Anyway, the reason why this happens in a dirty build environment only,
is that you neither use ntop's "--disable-snmp" configure flag nor
specify a dependency on libsnmp-dev. So, this has to be fixed in the
ntop package in any case. As I don't know which version to use, I did
not provide a patch.

Cheers,
Sebastian
