Package: gaim-encryption
Severity: serious

Hi

Oh well, I shouldnt have let it pass through NEW, I should have rejected
it. But now lets correct that mistake with a RC bug.

The thing is: gaim-encryption links with OpenSSL. gaim-encryption is
GPL, so it needs a license exemption to actually be allowed to ship with
this. It isnt there (how the hell could I miss that?), so we arent
allowed to ship it.

Please, either get an openssl-exception from Upstream or reassign this
bug to ftp.debian.org to remove the package from the archive if that
isnt possible.

(As I introduced the package I do the reassign in two weeks if there is
no sign off progress. :)

http://www.openssl.org/support/faq.html#LEGAL2 has a statement from the
OpenSSL guys directly, Google knows much more hits for this matter.
