I confirmed that I have cups-filter 1.0.5-1 installed but foomatic-filters is still at 4.0.13-1. Using the foomatic "Brother HL-5240 Foomatic/Postscript" driver still results in a single blank sheet from my HL-5240. Only the 'Generic Postscript 1" driver works satisfactorily.
