I did not. However, installing polkit-kde-1 doesn't seem to help. The
console test also keeps failing the same way.

Do you have a dialog frontend for PolKit installed? Meaning in this
case, is the package "polkit-kde-1" installed?

Hi!
Apper uses PolicyKit for authentication. Is PolicyKit correctly set up
on your system (meaning all olther PolKit apps work)? Are you able to
authenticate when using the command-line tool, e.g. by doing "pkcon
install amor"?
Regards,
Matthias
The only thing I know about PolicyKit is its purpose, but apparently,
something is wrong with it:
$ LANG=C pkcon install amor
Simulating install [=========================]
Loading cache [=========================]
Querying [=========================]
Running [=========================]
Installing packages [=========================]
Installing [=========================]
Waiting for authentication [=========================]
The transaction failed: not-authorized, Failed to obtain authentication.

I don't really know what other PolKit apps there are. I am not knowingly
using any other application based on PolKit.
