Hmm, this bug has been fixed in [my version, and Ubuntu's version, of] the source package for a while now. Version 1.1 has been sitting on mentors for a while now, waiting for an upload, and that includes this fix (which has been around since 1.0+dfsg-3 - I don't know why that never reached Debian).
