i'm thirding this request. EnableWheelTimeout would be very useful for me.
Alternatively, i'd be satisfied if debian would use the EmulateWheelClickToo [0] patch, which has arguably better semantics for those of us with TrackPoint devices (but may work worse for people with regular mice). it's unclear to me why neither patch has made it into the debian X.org sources, since at least EnableWheelTimeout has been committed to the main line for 11 months [1]. [EMAIL PROTECTED] xorg]$ grep -ir EmulateWheelTimeout xorg-x11-6.8.2.dfsg.1/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/input/mouse [EMAIL PROTECTED] xorg]$ grep -ir EmulateWheelClickToo xorg-x11-6.8.2.dfsg.1/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/input/mouse [EMAIL PROTECTED] xorg]$ zgrep -i enablewheel /usr/share/doc/xserver-xorg/* [EMAIL PROTECTED] xorg]$ If both patchsets are Considered Harmful for some reason, at least some documentation of the decision should appear in the documentation. Thanks for maintaining the debian xorg packages! it's very exciting to have this work in etch.
