Package: lifelines-reports Version: 3.0.61-1.1 Severity: normal
Using a smallish GEDCOM file/database, I ran the report book-latex.ll (/usr/share/lifelines/book-latex.ll) which ran without problems. I ran 'latex' on the resulting file (from 'texlive'), which flagged an error regarding a file "isolatin1.sty" which could not be found: $ latex file.latex This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-1.40.10 (TeX Live 2009/Debian) entering extended mode (./file.latex LaTeX2e <2009/09/24> Babel <v3.8l> and hyphenation patterns for english, usenglishmax, dumylang, noh yphenation, loaded. LaTeX Error: File `isolatin1.sty' not found. Type X to quit or <RETURN> to proceed, or enter new name. (Default extension: sty) I was able to hit Enter to proceed, resulting in th .dvi file as desired. A Google search for 'isolatin1.sty' reveals some hints that this isolatin1.sty file is obselete or deprecated, but I've not yet found what should replace it. (Or whether or not we can remove that line from the report file script.) I installed 'texlive' to get LaTeX: $ dpkg -l '*texlive*' | grep -v ^u Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend |/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad) ||/ Name Version Description +++-====================================-==================================-============================================================================== ii texlive 2009-11 TeX Live: A decent selection of the TeX Live packages ii texlive-base 2009-11 TeX Live: Essential programs and files ii texlive-binaries 2009-8 Binaries for TeX Live ii texlive-common 2009-11 TeX Live: Base component ii texlive-doc-base 2009-2 TeX Live: TeX Live documentation ii texlive-fonts-recommended 2009-11 TeX Live: Recommended fonts ii texlive-latex-base 2009-11 TeX Live: Basic LaTeX packages ii texlive-latex-recommended 2009-11 TeX Live: LaTeX recommended packages I'm filing this bug-report merely to track this issue in /usr/share/lifelines/register-tex.ll /usr/share/lifelines/book-latex.ll If I can find out more about the modern equivalent of isolatin1.sty, I'll reply with that info.
