Thanks for your care about latex2html in Debian. It is true that the
official upstream version lacks some patches to be included and the
releases are not very often. But I know that the mailing list is quite
active and Ross Moore, the upstream maintainer, generally responsive.

Please also note two other facts:

* As documented on the web site you quote, the "unofficial 2009" version
is based on the older official 2002 version, not the 2008 version
* I can't see any further constant development there since 2009 which
would support re-basing our Debian version to the "unofficial 2009"
version.

I hope you understand that I first need to try to coordinate with
upstream regarding such a step.
