I'm not sure if this problem is related to this bug, but it seems to be similar.
My current condition is that I don't have a working install of tetex, which seems to stem from a 'Permission Denied' error when trying to access /etc/texmf. Indeed, upon running `ls -l /etc/texmf` as root, I get the following: ls: /etc/texmf/dvips: Permission denied ls: /etc/texmf/latex: Permission denied ls: /etc/texmf/dvipdfm: Permission denied ls: /etc/texmf/modes.mf: Permission denied ls: /etc/texmf/updmap.d: Permission denied ls: /etc/texmf/pdftex: Permission denied ls: /etc/texmf/language.dat: Permission denied total 4 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 336 2005-05-20 23:41 context drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 112 2005-05-20 23:41 cslatex drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 176 2005-05-20 23:41 cyrplain drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 104 2005-05-20 23:41 etex drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 80 2005-09-15 22:49 lambda -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 161 2004-10-04 22:59 mktex.cnf drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 144 2005-08-26 20:08 platex Because of this, I am unable to fully remove or fix the installation of this package. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] SDF Public Access UNIX System - http://sdf.lonestar.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
