When I try to set the partion type from the installer, I do not have the option to set as raid (I have the various filesystems, LVM and to not use), as such, mdcfg fails because I have no available partitions. I have also tried manually setting the partition types from fdisk (type 0xFD, Linux RAID autodetect). the installer (even after rebooting) still fails to recognise these as raid (or potential raid partitions), and again, mdcfg fails with the same error. (Please note the above output of fdisk is after changing the partition types manually). FTR: I have installed successfully to this machine (without using raid) with the same installer.
