No, I'd be inclined to blame mandb as I rewrote its subprocess handling in 2.4.3. I haven't had time to investigate this bug, though, and it doesn't seem to reproduce for me. Blars, perhaps you could get /etc/cron.daily/man-db to run mandb with the --debug option, and send me the output? With any luck that won't cause the error to go away ...
