Package: systemd Version: 29-1.1 Severity: important File: /lib/lsb/init-functions
/etc/network/if-up.d/samba is broken by systemd because it relies on the output of '/etc/init.d/samba status' to determine whether nmbd is still running. The goal of this script is to ensure that nmbd is started whenever a network interface goes up or down, since it has a habit of exiting whenever there are no running network interfaces (see #576415 for the details). IMO the output of giving the 'status' argument to an init script should not be changed. People who want the new style output should run 'systemctl status' instead. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers stable APT policy: (545, 'stable'), (540, 'stable-updates'), (530, 'testing'), (520, 'unstable'), (510, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages systemd depends on: ii initscripts 2.88dsf-13.11 scripts for initializing and shutt ii libaudit0 1.7.13-1+b2 Dynamic library for security audit ii libc6 2.13-18 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcap2 1:2.19-3 support for getting/setting POSIX. ii libcryptsetup1 2:1.3.0-3 libcryptsetup shared library ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.24-4+squeeze1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libpam0g 1.1.1-6.1 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libselinux1 2.0.98-1.1 SELinux runtime shared libraries ii libudev0 172-1 libudev shared library ii libwrap0 7.6.q-19 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra ii udev 172-1 /dev/ and hotplug management daemo ii util-linux 2.19.1-5 Miscellaneous system utilities Versions of packages systemd recommends: ii libpam-systemd 29-1.1 system and service manager - PAM m Versions of packages systemd suggests: ii python 2.6.7-3 interactive high-level object-orie ii systemd-gui 29-1.1 system and service manager - GUI -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
