I've submitted a patch for #636885 (yada), and #117436 (clearscreen).

Since there are users of the package, and there is no alternative, I'd
like to suggest keeping the package in the archive. After my cleanups,
it'll be good for another decade with next to no maintainance.

As for the other bugs:

#298672:

The menu can be extended to mention that sound files need to be WAV
files, everything else will be played as if it were in that format.

I will submit a patch that does this soon.

#138786:

I'd either stick a wontfix on it, or close it. The original reporter
never replied back to the bug, and noone else showed interest, thus,
the effort of doing it isn't worth it, in my opinion.

#421788:

The hardest one of it all: this pretty much translates into "Please
port me to ALSA". I'll see if I can do that in an afternoon. If all
goes well, I'll submit a patch for this too.
