Unfortunately, the NMU didn't make it to the archive because of:

I suspect that ignring the lintian tag is the appropriate action,
here, given the specific status of memtest binaries, but that seems to
be a too invasive change in what's supposed to be an l10n NMU, not a
general-purpose NMU aimed at fixing each and every possible issue in
the package.
