Hi I have a new (one week ago) installation of squeeze.
I just installed xpp. It reported 'Destination not available' for my installed (under cups) printers. Those printers print successfully using lp, a2ps, and through iceweasel, although I do not know what iceweasel's delegation is. So I searched and google found http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=382961 I looked in cupsd.conf, as suggested, and found the line Listen /var/run/cups/cups.sock was there. When I commented it out of the file, as proposed in the bug report, xpp reports the printers' presence and availality as expected. I use x11 with icewm, so it can't be a kde bug as suggested http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=375907.
