The only problem I see is that sam.h , bam.h ... have very short
and generic names .
for example: there are already packages with such headers :
libadplug-dev: /usr/include/adplug/bam.h
libcorosync-dev: /usr/include/corosync/sam.h
So I think it is better to have samtools headers in a separate directory .
Dear Alex,
I will upload samtools 0.1.16 soon and can take the opportunity
to move the libbam-dev headers.
How about /usr/bin/samtools as suggested by J. Bonfield ?
Cheers,
Dear Charles ,
That would be great , but you probably meant /usr/includes/samtools ?
This sound good for me .
Should I CC to maintainers of Bio::Samtools ? this package also will
be affected .
Best regards ,
Alex
