Package: ntp Version: 1:4.2.6.p2+dfsg-1+b1 Severity: normal Hello, in the squeeze version of ntp, the command
# ntpq -c "rv 0 state" fails with this error: ***A request variable unknown to the server on a working (lenny) the output is: # ntpq -c "rv 0 state" assID=0 status=06f4 leap_none, sync_ntp, 15 events, event_peer/strat_chg, state=4 Several monitoring scripts uses the above command, and checks for 'state=4' in order to judge if ntp is working or not (4 is the OK status).
