As usual, I end up agreeing with Justin. I finally just wonder if we should specific about Garmin devices. After all, pytrainer can be used for about any kind of logging as long as you have GPX files...which is easy with software like gpsbabel. Of course, current Debian maintainers all use Garmin watches..:-)...but still...I think that one can do something with other stuff like Polar (dunno if they have GPS-enabled devices) or an Android phone or even (erk) an iPhone.
