I do have modules installed from the CPAN shell. I just did:

mv /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.0 /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.0.old
mv /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0.old

and reinstalled the modules I use (starting with Apache2::AuthCookie and
dependencies) but
I'm still getting the same results. Here's my @INC:

@INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1
/usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.10
/usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .).

I've also tried building mod_perl.so from source using the mod_perl 2 source
from apt with no luck.

Still stumped.
