My logic was that clearing all pages was pretty close to New, as clearing all the page is the precursor to starting a new job. I could be persuaded to pick a different icon and put it in the edit menu. Not sure. There are plenty of apps that have completely non-standard menus/icons.
I will combined the open and import items. I think that scan still should be on the file menu.
