The "Open gscan2pdf session file" icon looks a lot like a "Save" icon, which I discovered recently after clicking it by mistake. 3 1/2 inch floppy icons usually mean "Save"; that's a bit of a standard, which becomes a user reflex. I saw the icon image's left arrow superimposed above the floppy, but it didn't make enough of an impression. Something like an open folder with an "S" might be more intuitive.
