Package: sudo
Version: 1.7.4p6-1
Severity: normal

sudo 1.7.4p4-4 included a key bugfix:

  * patch from upstream to resolve interoperability problem between HOME in
    env_keep and the -H flag, closes: #596493

I need to add HOME to env_keep to avoid breaking piles of scripts and
dotfiles I have that assume sudo doesn't break $HOME. The bugfix in
1.7.4p4-4 makes it possible to add HOME to env_keep without breaking the
*other* piles of scripts that rely on -H setting $HOME to that of the
target user. Unfortunately, squeeze only has 1.7.4p4-2.squeeze.1, which
consists of 1.7.4p4-2 plus one bugfix from 1.7.4p4-6. Please consider
backporting this key bugfix from 1.7.4p4-4 into a 1.7.4p4-2.squeeze.2
version of sudo.

I really don't want to have to live with this bug for the next couple of
years. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could upload this bugfix as a
proposed stable update.

Thank you very much,
Josh Triplett
