Sorry for the noise. The error was on my part, and was twofold:
1) I've failed to update the known_hosts file;
2) my old /etc/auto.sshfs config on the client worked in Lenny, but to
make it work in Squeeze I had to add an
'IdentityFile=/home/myuser/.ssh/id_rsa' directive.
