Well... it does... and so does "touch".

Well... the package doesn't use fancy stuff... it's plain makefiles. The
bug appeared when I switched the package to the 3.0 (quilt) format. I
had to do this to make it work:

And it seems that the bug doesn't appear on all filesystems (I was using
NFS [and ext4 on the server side] when it bit me). If you have a better
explanation/fix, I will be glad to hear it.
