Package: dpkg
Version: 1.15.8.8
Severity: normal

I've installed Firefox in /opt so that I can run the beta. I linked
/opt/firefox/firefox to /usr/bin/firefox, and I have been using that location.
I have Firefox listed as the preferred application for web browser, and used
galternatives to install firefox as the x-www-browser and gnome-www-browser. I
also made sure that /usr/bin/firefox is listed in gconf-editor under
desktop-->gnome-->url_handlers for http, https, and ftp. But whenever I click
on a link, primarily through Gwibber, Epiphany still opens.

Let me know what information you need and I'll try to provide it as quickly as
possible.
