Package: simplesamlphp Version: 1.6.3-1 Severity: normal
Two questions: 1. Why does this package depend on apache2 (or httpd), but not include any apache2 conf (or a post-install script)? 2. Why does this package depend on php5-cli? I have been using simplesamlphp for several years on Lenny, from upstream, without php5-cli (or php-pear, php5-mcrypt, or php5-mhash, for that matter) ~Keith -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.7 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages simplesamlphp depends on: ii apache2-mpm-prefor 2.2.9-10+lenny9 Apache HTTP Server - traditional n ii libapache2-mod-php 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny9 server-side, HTML-embedded scripti ii openssl 0.9.8g-15+lenny11 Secure Socket Layer (SSL) binary a ii php-openid 2.0.0-2 php openid library ii php-xml-parser 1.2.8-1 PHP PEAR module for parsing XML ii php5 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny9 server-side, HTML-embedded scripti ii php5-cli 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny9 command-line interpreter for the p ii php5-mcrypt 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny9 MCrypt module for php5 ii php5-mhash 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny9 MHASH module for php5 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime simplesamlphp recommends no packages.
