Just wanted to confirm that I have seen this on both my systems where I've upgraded to the Squeeze version of the python package. Most of the dangling symlinks were in /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/reportlab, but I believe there were a few others that had to be removed from /usr/lib/python2.6/dist- packages.
The package(s) that created the symlinks should be responsible for removing them, but I think the patch provided by Mr. Dreimann (or something similar) should be applied to prevent the package upgrade failures.
