I'd appreciate it if someone from upstream could have a look at this comment.
On establishing tunnel, xl2tpd starts pppd which fails due to missing /dev/pts/xx. It appears xl2tpd is not creating the pseudo tty as it should be. There are no error messages in any log from xl2tpd notifying a problem with creating the pts. Does not appear to be a problem with pts itself as other services are using it ok.
I have had one report of this (might be the same person). I have not encountered this myself.

It looks though that the system hangs up, after a Call-Disconnect-Notify? So I think the pty works fine, but is getting closed.

Also, not relivant here, but xl2tpd 1.2.7+dfsg-1 package is installed, but "xl2tpd --version" returns "version: 1.2.6".
I can confirm that. We'll release 1.2.8 with a fixed version number. Paul -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
