I know this bug report probably doesn't help much. I can help you debug this by producing e.g. test QPDL files, if you tell me how.
I have never used such files (I own only an HP Color LaserJet 1500L, now broken), but you should simply copy the upstream QPDL files from foo2zjs/crd/qpdl/* into /usr/share/foo2qpdl/crd/. NB, these files were removed from the Debian package because their license is unclear, thus we can not distribute them. Obviously, you can also try to use the QPDL files from Samsung's proprietary Linux driver.
What are these files? Why do they need to be in the distribution, and what happens if they aren't present?
