Looking at the output again: invalid 'libstrongswan' file size: 152796 bytes, expected 617722 bytes
that looks like libchecksum.so has embedded the sizes of the non-stripped libraries. Then the debian build process goes and strips them, reducing their size to a much smaller number than what is embedded. I'm not sure what the right solution to that is, either don't strip the libraries, so the sizes match, or strip them and then embed the sizes in the libraries. m
