Package: snapshot.debian.org Severity: minor After adding a snapshot.debian.org entry to my sources.list (as described on the homepage), apt then complained during update about the Valid-Until in the Release file:
E: Release file expired, ignoring http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20100820T150149Z/dists/squeeze/Release (invalid since 10d 4h 40min 14s) Since the snapshot.debian.org source is obviously temporary, I just worked around this with: sudo aptitude -o 'Acquire::Check-Valid-Until=false' update (not sure if there's a better workaround, but this works) I guess something along these lines should be mentioned in the paragraph about adding apt sources? -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
