attached is a patch that builds the virtualbox packages so that they depend on the default python (2.6) instead of python 2.5.
For those, like me, who are confused by this bug description: current version of virtualbox-ose indeed depends on python2.5 on amd64 (but not on i386).

I fail to see how applying this hunk is better than simply rebuilding (e.g. by a binNMU) in up-to-date sid.

This change sounds wrong. virtualbox-ose does support (on source level) all versions >= 2.4.
