hi roberto i added speedstep-lib to /etc/modules. The other two give the following error messages: # modprobe speedstep-smi FATAL: Error inserting speedstep_smi (/lib/modules/2.6.8-2-686/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/speedstep-smi.ko): No such device # modprobe speedstep-ich FATAL: Error inserting speedstep_ich (/lib/modules/2.6.8-2-686/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/speedstep-ich.ko): No such device
there's no error message from inserting speedstep-lib, and I *think* that doing that has fixed it. Is there a way to make these changes the default? I assume this more to do with the default choice of /etc/modules, not something I know about. cheers dave On 17/08/05, Roberto C.
