Package: plymouth
Version: 0.8.3-6
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

while playing around with the ask-for-password option, I have tried
the following command line:

plymouthd; plymouth --show-splash; for ((I=0; I<5;     I++)); do
plymouth --update=test$I; sleep 2; done; plymouth ask-for-password
--command="cat" --prompt "Password for file system: "
--number-of-tries 3; plymouth quit

This causes plymouth to come up, ask the question, and then take
keyboard input. But not every keystroke is shown as a dot in the
password prompt field, and sometimes even enter is not processed.

Greetings
Marc
