My "device" was a simple removable media (MMC card, USB key, [..]). I
understood that it didn't work with the camera set as "USB Mass storage"
neither.

I'll try with the camera in PTP mode ASAP (never done that though, it's a
Finepix S2000HD, and I don't know whether it's possible at all :/).
