I just tried the package (installed, did not do any additional configuration) and it ran just fine. Do you get to the wizard window where you can select between Emacs or Vim or does it hang before that? Have you tried removing .pida2 in $HOME? regards, Marek P.S.: The pida package in Debian is incredibly old, I hope the maintainers will package 0.6 any time soon. That might fix all RC bugs at once.
