I can't really pinpoint where or how the config-file could have been deleted by the maintainer scripts. To go around this problem I'll just make the chowns conditional in the next upload (2.01-1, hopefully tomorrow), but this means the underlying reason for the file's disappearance is still a mystery. The preinst script has code which *could* have something to do with it, but the logic seems innocuous enough.
