I can confirm, that this bug

on an IBM Thinkpad T23
seems fixed in "ISOLINUX 4.00 debian-20100628".
I tested a debian-netinst cd with included firmware
(firmware-testing-i386-netinst.iso with md5sum
ea8e3337963d7558f41587a0e972091a, build on Jul 2 10:20:07 UTC 2010
and it boots fine on my T23.
