This would be an option. My preference has been to set minimum dependencies and provide a way to list missing helper applications. There are probably quite a few people with no docx documents (I'm one of them). But this is really a matter of taste and compromise, and adding "suggests" certainly will not make me frown (none of my business anyway :)). Additionally libxslt/xsltproc are small and extremely common (and used by other recoll filters). If you use docx indexing, I'll be very interested to hear about any problem.
