I agree, despite the fact taht we introduced some upstream-incompatible
patches (like the write_bcc one) we should limit this number to as less
patches as possible.

There was a discussion in the related bug report and it seems that there
are valid reasons for both arguments but in terms of ease of maintenance
we should follow upstream.

So I'm tagging this bug as wontfix.
