Package: reniced Version: 1.17-1 Severity: wishlist The reniced program is really limited by the hardcoded use of a `comm' argument to ps(1). It should optionally allow for using `cmd'. Or any other ps option with a command-line argument.
The use case is making the attached reniced.conf work. I'm using this with this wrapper around reniced: #!/bin/bash perl -0777 -pe 's[sub generate_ps_command.*?\{.*?\n\}][sub generate_ps_command { "ps H -eo lwp,cmd" }]s;' < /usr/bin/reniced | perl 2>/dev/null It's ugly, but it works. I can filter on the full command arguments, not just the process name. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable'), (700, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32.12-x86_64-linode12 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages reniced depends on: ii libbsd-resource-perl 1.2904-1 BSD process resource limit and pri ii perl 5.10.1-12 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction reniced recommends no packages. reniced suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/reniced.conf changed: b2 ^rtorrent 15b5 munin-node 9b5 uptimed 9b5 ntpd 10b6 (?<!r)tor(?!rent) 9b6 (?:mailmanctl|qrunner) 1b1 squid 1b1 unlinkd 1b1 apache2 1b1 vlogger.*access log 1b1 php5-cgi 1b1 fastcgi\.pl$ 1b1 memcached 1b1 mysqld 2b2 ^(?:master|smtpd|anvil|pickup|qmgrx|qmgr) 2b2 qpsmtpd 1b1 pdns_(?:server|recursor) 1b1 bitlbee 1b1 openvpn 3b3 failo 3b3 hailo 3b3 lostbot 3b3 alvitur 3b3 bondage: (leech|avar) 5b5 postgres 5b5 fail2ban 2b2 oidentd 2b2 udevd 2b2 rsyslogd 16b7 git -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
