retitle 528210 "/usr/lib/debug path is not searched for vmlinux-`uname -r`"
reassign 528210 elfutils
thanks

Hi,

I think this is an elfutils bug.

I believe so. It is elfutils that contains detailed vmlinux search
logic, and Roland McGrath is happy to take patches (elfutils
dwfl/linux-kernel-modules.c). Systemtap can also set directory search
paths for elfutils (*DEBUGINFO_PATH), but if the file is named
something other than vmlinux, that's not quite enough.
