This is normal and pointer to --no-act should help. But I also wanted to get a bit more in the footnote ... I added now in svn: $ debian/rules '--no-act build' I think that this makes you to stop putting somewhat complicated script at the top of debian/rules. Wait for few hours to show up on the web.
