Package: xen-tools Version: 3.9-4 Severity: minor
Have installed a couple of samples of lenny as a guest using xen-tools. The inital install is sensible a minimal system reaching level 3. Once installed, I then installed gnome to have a graphical lenny. Once installed, it is misconfigured. It stalls on entering gdm, errors in place. On logging in. we have Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 lenny-net hvc0 lenny-net login: idella Password: Last login: Sun Apr 25 23:23:43 EST 2010 on hvc0 Linux lenny-net 2.6.26-2-686-bigmem #1 SMP Tue Mar 9 18:01:52 UTC 2010 i686 The programs included with the Debian GNU/Linux system are free software; the exact distribution terms for each program are described in the individual files in /usr/share/doc/*/copyright. It's a standard gnome setup. Could you please reply with instructions on how to set the correct permisiion settings, so as to get the guest to reach gnome. A second example. This lenny was installed bt a different script and included gnome in the initial install.
