Package: sl-modem-source
Version: 2.9.9d-4

My Modem is a ALi Corporation SmartLink SmartPCI561 56K PCI-Card. It
seems that sl-modem-source doesn't support SmartPCI561 anymore. I tried
to install it under SID using "module-assistant a-i sl-modem". There
were no errors and the slamr-module loads without errors.
sl-modem-daemon also doesn`t complain, but there is no /dev/ttySL0
created, so the /dev/modem symlink points to nowhere. Kernel is
linux-image-2.6.12-1-686 with udev-0.065-1
While having no problems under Debian Sarge with sl-modem-source-2.9.9a,
I had the same issue under Ubuntu hoary which afaik uses the
sl-modem-source package from SID.
