Thanks. The log shows you are not a member of the "lp" nor "lpadmin" group: hp-check[20268]: info: :--------------- hp-check[20268]: info: :| USER GROUPS | hp-check[20268]: info: :--------------- hp-check[20268]: info: : hp-check[20268]: info: :nicolas dialout cdrom floppy audio dip video plugdev staff science lastfm alllog windows musique You need to add any users who wish to print /scan/ fax to the "lp" group. You need to add any users who wish to manage printers to the "lpadmin"group. Yon may need to logout/ login for the changes to take effect.. You can see which groups you are a member of by issuing the command: $ groups nicolas > > Are you able to access the printer from any of the command line > > applications? > > Yes, which one especially? The troubleshooting document mentions hp-makeuri & snmpwalk in particular. /usr/share/doc/hplip-doc/HTML/commandline.html lists others. What do you get when you try: $ hp-testpage $ hp-setup > > Can you install the hplip-doc package and following the instructions > > located in the document: > > /usr/share/doc/hplip-doc/HTML/troubleshooting.html > > It is quite short. Maybe, but were you able to complete the instructions successfully? Failing all of the above, I would suggest that you talk with the hplip upstream support at: https://launchpad.net/hplip/+addquestion as they will have far better depth of knowledge about the product.
