Package: beep Version: 1.2.2-24 Severity: important
beep doesn't beep with some computer parts I am currently testing. Basically a bare main board with RAM, CPU, graphics card sitting on my computer, connected to my computers power supply, SATA data cable, etc. A PC speaker is connected and there is also a small piezo buzzer. Both beep during POST Same as normal user or root. It does, however, take its time to completion, e.g. 'sleep -l 1000'. It also doesn't work on a MacBook installed trough fink, but that's probably a different matter. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-3-686 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages beep depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.30 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.10.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib beep recommends no packages. beep suggests no packages. -- debconf information: beep/suid_option: usable for all -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
