Package: beep
Version: 1.2.2-24
Severity: important

beep doesn't beep with some computer parts I am currently testing.
Basically a bare main board with RAM, CPU, graphics card sitting on my
computer, connected to my computers power supply, SATA data cable, etc.
A PC speaker is connected and there is also a small piezo buzzer. Both
beep during POST

Same as normal user or root.

It does, however, take its time to completion, e.g. 'sleep -l 1000'.

It also doesn't work on a MacBook installed trough fink, but that's
probably a different matter.
